Criminal Justice Reform
During my experience as a Regional Medical Director for departments of corrections and justice supervising and giving medical services to inmates in prisons and jails, I have seen the systemic bias and discrimination in criminal justice that has disproportionately high incarceration rates for people of color.
I will work hard to fight systematic racism and biases and I will push for programs that can prevent incarceration and decrease recidivism.
Moreover, I am committed to legislation policies that can restore the voting rights for Americans with felony convictions who have completed their sentences should be a federal priority.
